7/13/2008 - 2nd Again @ Thunderhill
Friday night Shawn had a tough challenge to try and chase down the leaders, as the modified feature went green to checker without a caution. He was able to weave his way to an 8th place finish on the night.
On Saturday, Shawn almost slipped past race leader Sean Jerovetz with 2 laps to go, but Jerovetz powered back on the outside and took the win. Shawn settled for his third 2nd place finish @ Thunderhill.
7/9/2008 - 14th @ Thunderhill
Shawn had to come through the consy on Saturday night, which he was able to win by a good margin. His starting spot would not be great, and he wasn't able to charge through the field of modifieds. He started in 16th and finished in 14th on the night.
7/5/2008 - BSS Results
On Thursday, Shawn went backwards in the feature event, dropping all the way back to a 13th place finish.
On Friday, he drew the 2nd row starting spot, but again fell back from there. He was able to maintain the car up in the front though, taking home a 6th place finish on the night.
6/30/2008 - So Close @ Thunderhill
Friday night Shawn blew away the field in his heat race, but the feature would not be a repeat of the heat. Shawn fell back to a 13th place finish on the night, while points leader Brian Mullen took the win, increasing his lead over Shawn.
Saturday @ Thunderhill, Shawn again took his heat race by a wide margin, and this time had something for leader Benji LaCrosse on the high side. Shawn took the lead for a lap, but Benji got it back on the inside and took the victory. Shawn settled for 2nd for the second week in a row.
He is now tied for 2nd place in points at Thunderhill as well as Luxemburg on the season.
6/16/2008 - 2nd @ Thunderhill
Shawn made another strong charge to the front on Saturday night, getting up to 3rd when the caution flag flew. He would get inside of James Tebon for 2nd, but did not have enough laps left to catch eventual winner Jeremy Jacobs.
Shawn is now tied for 4th in points @ Thunderhill and sits in 2nd place @ Luxemburg.
6/2/2008 - Two More Top 5's
Friday @ Luxemburg, Shawn manuvered his way toward the front. With the feature going green to checker, he didn't have nearly enough time to catch the top 3, and settled into a 4th place finish.
Saturday he shot out to a commanding lead, but a late race caution would erase the lead he built. Julie McDermid took advantage and slid under Shawn to take the win. Todd Dart also went by, so Shawn ended up in 3rd.
5/26/2008 - Two Top 5's on the Weekend
Shawn climbed up into the top 5 following Jeremy Jacobs, and then made a move to pass 3 wide to take 2nd. He didn't have enough laps or momentum to catch Jeremie Hedrick, so he settled for the 2nd spot.
On Saturday he won his heat race, and started 4th in the feature. He tried to take the lead on the outside of Jay Matthias, but Mike Wedelstadt shot through and passed everyone by. Shawn ended where he started in 4th place.
5/18/2008 - Another Rough Weekend
Shawn qualified for the feature on Friday night at Luxemburg through the consy, and then got involved in a wreck in the feature. He got the car back out on the lead lap, but it took him several laps to catch the back of the field. He did end up taking 16th.
Saturday @ Thunderhill wasn't any better, a 2nd place finish in the heat gave him a good starting spot in the feature, but contact with several cars shifted him toward the back early, from which he wouldn't recover.
5/11/2008 - Rough Night @ The Hill
Shawn was one of many to pull his car off the track on Saturday night. A rough spot in turn #2 caused a lot of problems for all the drivers on the track, and many didn't want to risk damaging their equipment.
5/10/2008 - 7th Again @ The Burg
Shawn qualified for the A-main this Friday through his heat race. The feature was a disaster, with the modifieds only going 12 out of a scheduled 22 laps due to a great deal of cautions.
Shawn stayed out of harm's way, and ran the top side safely around towards the end. The final restart he was in 7th place, and that's where he ended the night.
4/19/2008 - Opening Night @ The Burg
Shawn had to take the hard road into the feature event on opening night, he had to qualify through the consy, which he won. Starting near the back in the feature, he made his way to the front after an early race wreck nearly collected him.
Shawn got the car up near the top 5, with heavy smoke barreling out of the car. He finished just outside of the top 5 with a solid finish for the 1st night in the new chassis.
3/18/2008 - New Site Design / New Car
